A 30 hr somatic sound meditation immersion

Join sound practitioner, Deep Listening facilitator, and somatic educator Charlie Gates for this 30-hour Somatic Sound Meditation certification at Shamballa Space, Copenhagen. 

This comprehensive, 4 day training will support you in offering sound experiences that are interactive, non-prescriptive, joyful, and deeply creative.  Using guidelines of somatic work and Deep Listening, we will learn practical and compassionate ways of using instruments, voice, and guided meditations to create sound baths that support our nervous systems, delight our ears, and move us into dream-like states.

No previous experience is required.

✺ Healing-centered / trauma-informed sound making

Charlie loves to listen.

A queer sound maker, Deep Listener, and somatic facilitator, Charlie holds embodied offerings that combine somatic movement, poetry, queer ecology, Deep Listening® practices, imagination work, and soundscape creation. Charlie has been leading immersive sound experiences since 2012, and has been leading trainings in the art of sound meditation globally since 2015.  As an artist, they work inside the mediums of movement, performance poetry, photography, and sound/sonic art.

Charlie is in their second year of a Clinical Somatic Educator / Somatic Movement Therapist program with homebody healing, and are certified with the Center for Deep Listening.  They hold a diploma in Performance Arts.

They are an uninvited settler residing on the stolen, ancestral territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən speaking peoples, colonially known today as Victoria, BC Canada.
