This course is for you that want to spark your body’s natural state. It is ideal and powerful for elevating the subtle energy (chi) of all the vital organs, and the whole body. You will find greater depths of relaxation and ease. The unique blending of yin yoga, soundscapes & hands-on has proven to have a powerful influence on enhancing people's overall health, energy, and state of well-being.

It is now widely accepted and confirmed that most illnesses are stress-related. Therefore treatment methodologies that promote relaxation and help reduce stress can be a very effective way to prevent and treat illness. It also enables an individual to relax deeply, achieving an altered state of consciousness which triggers the body's healing response.

Our organs are constantly working and sustaining us, giving us the possibility to live in our physical body. So through this course, we will focus particularly on giving something back to our 12 vital organs, as a way of practicing being thankful for what we have and showing it to our magnificent bodies. 

In the first half, we will slowly melt into the yin poses, creating the space that we need to slow down and decrease anxiety, worries, and stress. During the second half we will dwell on a healing soundscape journey to bring out a calm, free, and natural state of being.

A deeper look

The powerful combination of Yin, soundscapes, and hands-on has an insightful effect, but it also really activates the parasympathetic nervous system thus helping the body-mind to melt into a state of deep relaxation. In this process, your brain waves will drop, first from beta (the stage where you are awake and with lots of brain activity) to alpha (a more relaxed stage, associated with sitting in a comfortable position with your eyes closed so you are disconnected from your visual channel), and eventually into Theta or Delta.

In the alpha stage, the hormone serotonin is released, which produces a feeling of being relaxed. Studies show that there is a correlation between cases of anxiety and how much time a person spends in the alpha stage. So when you move down to the alpha stage, you lower your brain activity and thus sink into a state of relaxation.

As you sink deeper, the brain waves sink further into a deep alpha and theta stage, also referred to as the dream stage or REM sleep. It is a state associated with hypnosis, where the subconscious mind is active. It is believed that all changes are possible here, as your state of mind is more open. This is also where you process your emotions and release what is no longer beneficial to you.

Your thoughts further slow down and your relaxation continues to deepen until you sink into the most restorative and relaxing stage of them all, the delta stage. Here your organs regenerate and the body removes the stress hormone cortisol from your body.

This signature course will be the extra support that you need to find peace, joy, and radiance in your own natural body.

The first half

Incorporating principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), through yin yoga asanas (postures) that will be held for 3-5 mins, the yin sequence is planned to give energy and vitality back to each yin and yang pair of our vital organs, stimulating their channels of subtle energy known as meridian pathways in TCM, we will connect with the aim and power of each of them and delve a bit more into understanding their role in our system, not only on a physical level but also how they influence our emotions and mental states.

Through Yin yoga, we will also target the deep connective tissues of the body – the ligaments, joints, bones, and deep fascia networks. We will practice poses that will work both the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, and lower spine, which are areas affluent in connective tissues, and the upper part of the body – the chest, the whole spine, shoulders, neck, and head.

On an energetic level, Yin yoga improves energy flow and enhances the flow of chi in the organs. However, this practice also offers vast mental and emotional benefits too. Becoming still in a pose and staying for a while creates a gap or space for anything that wants to come up. This could be anxiety, happiness sadness, boredom…any emotion or feeling you suppress with all busyness in your life.

Yin yoga gives you the time and space to allow emotions, thoughts, and feelings you have kept in the shadows, to surface. This practice can also be a great starting point for anyone interested in meditation.

The second half

Based on the principle of “sympathetic resonance”. Resonance is the vibratory rate of an object and sympathetic resonance is when one vibrating object causes another to vibrate in harmony with it, or match its rate of vibration.

Healing with sound has been widely used throughout the world for thousands of years. It's a form of vibrational medicine that helps to balance all aspects of your being - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

Using a wide range of sacred instruments; you will be washed energetically with gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, shaman, ocean, steel drums, Kochi bells, monochord, rattles, swinging wind chimes, kalimbas, flutes, rain sticks, and many more.

When you're out of balance, aches, pains, illness, and disease come to happen.

So by fine-tuning your system with sounds, we can restore balance and activate your body's natural healing abilities.
